ART & DESIGN

At Green Meadow Independent Primary School art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human creativity. We offer a high-quality art and design education which engages inspires and challenges all its pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. As pupils progress, they are able to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design. They also know how art and design both reflect and shape our history, and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.

It was stated in our last Ofsted inspection that all “pupils make good progress across the wider curriculum. The teaching of art is strength across the school. Pupils learn about different artists and acquire a range of techniques from early year through to upper primary. They produce impressive artefacts and develop good artistic skills.” ( Ofsted 2017. )
